Kristine is an audience engagement professional with over seven years of experience working in social media and newsletters in journalism and in nonprofit marketing.
Her most recent opportunity was a temporary digital editor, for National Public Radio (NPR) where she helped with audience engagement, headline writing, and SEO. She also curated the NPR website.
She also worked as an associate editor, audience engagement for Southern California Public Radio, which comprises of digital site, LAist.com and LAist 89.3 (formerly KPCC). She helps oversee daily social media production and is the lead writer of “How To LA,” a daily morning newsletter.
She also worked as a social media producer for Southern California News Group — local newspapers serving LA County, Orange County and the Inland Empire.
At age eight, she immigrated from the Philippines to Los Angeles. She credits newspapers and broadcast news in helping her learn English and helping realize her dreams of working in journalism.
In her spare time, she loves to visit bookstores, make a ton of music playlists, visit museums and play video games.
