Kristine is an audience and digital editor with a decade of experience working in the journalism industry, with specialties on social media, off-platforms like Apple News, building data-driven strategies on Reddit and headline/SEO writing.

She’s also written newsletters, edited videos and curated homepages and sent many push notifications in her career. Kristine also has experience with nonprofit marketing under her belt.

Her most recent roles: an audience editor at ProPublica and a digital editor for NPR.

Previously, she was an associate editor of audience engagement at NPR member station LAist 89.3 FM (formerly KPCC), and LAist.com

Her first journalism job was as a social media producer for Southern California News Group, 11 local newspapers serving LA County, Orange County and the Inland Empire.

She credits newspapers and broadcast news in helping her learn English after immigrating from the Philippines at eight years old.

In her spare time, she loves to visit bookstores, create music playlists, visit museums and play video games.
